Team Rocket Boss

Giovanni, aka the "Boss", is the head of Team Rocket. His team of scientists were the ones who created Mewtwo by cloning Mew. Giovanni is basically the stereotypical mafia boss guy, sitting in a chair with his face hidden by shadow stroking a cat (in this case, a Persion, which Meowth is *really* jealous of XD). We don't see his face for quite a while in the show. Giovanni is also the Viridian City Gym Leader, keeper of the Earth Badge. It's rumoured that Giovanni is Ash's father.
